The Basketball Feelings podcast, Episode 2: Seerat Sohi

You know Seerat Sohi. You know her because you’ve read her cinematic writing — first at SB Nation, then Yahoo, now The Ringer — effused with scope and humour and the kind of smart that expects you to meet it halfway. Like, you’ve gotta keep up. You know her because you’ve heard her wry voice on podcasts, TV. You know her because you’re probably on Twitter too much and while she really isn’t, when she is her tweets kind of bubble up through the murk of the timeline to pop right in front of you.

What you don’t know is her hardwired, frustrating (to me) refusal to pick her basketball favourites via the idiocy of the heart regardless of their efficiency on the floor. The story of how we met just before an earthquake. Her fear of feelings and her love of one large Spanish man. Also that her dad just became Mayor of Edmonton! I forgot to talk to her about that, but we get to all the rest.
